Hub Doubled Mintmark Since 1985 for proofs and 1990 for circulation strike coinage the mintmark has been part of the master die. Thus when a doubled die occurs in the area where the mintmark is located, it too can be affected. Such doubled mintmarks have not been cataloged separately, but rather are part of the doubled die system. |
